On Thursday morning, like every day, a water tanker went to the Kariyawanar colony in Gangapur village panchayat of Chandauli district to supply water. An eight-year-old girl playing on the footpath near the colony suddenly came in front and got hit by the water tanker. After the incident, the driver Radheshyam panicked and jumped from the moving tanker and ran away. The tanker was completely full of water. People who rushed to the spot kept calling the ambulance. After some time, the girl died on the spot. The police reached the spot two hours after the accident.

It is being told that a tanker had gone to Kariyavanar Basti of Gangapur village of Chakarghatrta police station area in the morning to deliver water. Rani, the eight-year-old daughter of village resident Arjun Prajapati, was playing on the footpath after coming out of the house, when she suddenly got hit by a water tanker coming from the front. Due to which she died.
After the incident, there was chaos in the girl’s family. The people of the colony who were angry with the incident created a lot of ruckus. On the other hand, mother Kaushalya started crying loudly after hearing the news of her daughter’s death.
Police station incharge Dhirendra Pratap Singh sent the body for postmortem. A case has been registered against the driver on the complaint of father Arjun Prajapati. Police Circle Officer Krishna Murari Sharma said that an eight-year-old girl died after being hit by a water tanker.
